About The Program
What is the "Official Site" program?
The "Official Site" program establishes official volunteer locations of The Community Meal. These locations have committed to hosting two or more free community meals per year in the Barrington area or surrounding communities. Thank you to the Barrington Area Community Foundation (BACF) for awarding The Community Meal a grant to fund this program!
WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY MEAL's GOAL FOR THIS PROGRAM?
The goals of the "Official Site" program are to (1) increase The Community Meal's reach to the Barrington area and surrounding communities and (2) increase host locations' participation in the Barrington area and surrounding communities.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITs OF Participating?
The Community Meal will supply (free of charge) commercial grade kitchen equipment to participating sites for The Community Meal events and other community events. Equipment provided includes warming units, sneeze guards, steam trays, tray covers, temperature gauges and commercial grade extension cords.
What are the requirements TO PARTICIpATE?
Each "Official Site" with support from The Community Meal must host two or more free meals per year.
